We are officially Texas residents! Maybe forever? We'll see! Daniel started his ortho residency orientation week on the 26th of June, and last Monday officially started seeing patients. It's so crazy that we are here already and that this has already started again. I've gotta say I was so lucky to get to have like 4 months before coming here that Daniel was home at least 80% of the time. Some weeks during his last few months at UCLA he would literally have 1 patient the whole week, so I was spoiled having lots of help around the house and lots of playtime with my little family. It has definitely been an adjustment having him gone all the time, but Ev and I are finding things to do here in Pearland. The community pools here are the bomb. Splash pads and water slides all in one area. They are seriously the best! But during the week they aren't open until 12, so we struggle some mornings finding things to do. My spoiled California girl still isn't loving this Texas heat, (neither am I), and she lets me know how hot it is every time we go outside. We are lucky enough to be about 20 minutes away from some of my best friends in Sugarland, and we are loving that aspect of being back home :) Its so fun to have friends that you grew up with close by, and now we all have babies that can play together. Crazy!
Daniel was like a kid on Christmas after his first day of orientation. It's so great to know that he's so excited and passionate about the career path that hes chosen. It's a good thing too, cause I'm not sure I am a nice enough wife to support him if he changed his mind and wanted to go be an engineer, medical doctor, or something! We are on the home stretch for school and that is SUCH a great feeling!
On another note, my baby girl will be 2 this month. I cannot believe it! She is such a sweethearted, dramatic, little girl. Lately she has been picking out her outfits everyday--or should I say outfit--she always wants to wear the same yellow dress. This wouldn't be an issue if I was a good mom and washed it every night. But I dont, cause to be honest I want to see her in other clothes sometimes. Ha! Shes loving princesses right now, sings lots of songs, and still is constantly loving on her babydolls. Not sure where I would be without this one.
Prepare for picture overload of our last few days in CA:
Seriously miss these girls!
This picture kills me.
