Update

Alright people, this is not for me. I'm not a fan of these pictures, but I have been told by so many people that If I don't take them, I'll regret it later. Hard for me to imagine, but I don't wanna take any chances. I didn't even take one the day I found out I was pregnant..oops. Oh well. So here is me today--19.5 weeks.

(Sorry about the blur..these pictures are hard to take one handed!)

Totally stole this from my friend Stina who is also pregnant..hope you don't mind Stina :) Love you!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 19.5 weeks
Size of baby: Our little one is as big as a mango.
Maternity Clothes: Negative. I'm hoping I won't have to wear those.
Gender: GIRL!
Movement: I feel her occasionally, not every day, but when I do it just feels like pressure.
What I miss: Feeling healthy for a straight 24 hours.
Cravings: Don't get cravings..fruit and Mac and Cheese always sound good..(no, not together :)
Symptoms: Feeling soo much better than the first 16 weeks. I'm still super tired, I sneeze about 20 times a day (no exaggeration) and heartburn. Ooooh the heartburn.
Best moment this week: Feeling her move for the first time. So exciting :)

Ribbons and Bows

For some reason this entire pregnancy, Daniel and I have felt like we were going to have a little boy. As soon as we found out we were expecting, we had a hard time not referring to our baby as a "he". I tried hard to pray for our little boy or girl each night, but sometimes Daniel (or myself) would ask our Heavenly Father to "bless HIM with health and that HE will develop properly". Oops. Hmm..perhaps we jinxed ourselves.

When my parents were here a few weeks ago, I had a doctors appointment. It was supposed to be a normal check-up, but for various reasons, my doctor wanted to give me an ultrasound. Of course this is what we had secretly hoped for since I was getting SO impatient about getting the final boy confirmation. Well..we were looking at the screen during the ultrasound and my actual doctor said, "Oh! Well look at that!" (Referring to what she AND we saw and thought to be the key indication of a little boy) The ultrasound tech immediately was like, "No no no that's the cord, there's nothing there." Umm..HUH? Daniel and I both looked at each other in shock as I said outloud, "IT'S A GIRL?!?" She was absolutely positive. We asked her several times if she was sure..but there was no doubt!

*Clarification--OF COURSE we are SO excited for our little girl. I don't know why we were so set on a little boy--probably simply because we wanted to have the first grandson on my side ;) Girls are so sweet though and after a few days of the news sinking in (how awful) we were officially SUPER excited about meeting our little sweetheart!

Since then, I have bought 5 outfits, and ordered a pink little tutu this morning for newborn pictures :) I plan on attempting to make some hair bows here in the near future! I will say that girl names are SO hard though. We were all set on a name for a little boy, but after going back and forth for the past 3 weeks, I think we will take a break on picking out our little girls name for a while. Maybe it will come to me in a dream or something. Haha, I wish!

Before we even left the Dr.'s office, Daniel said, "Is it weird that I already feel protective of her?" :) He's going to be so wrapped around her little finger. Love it.

Bring on the ribbons and bows! We love our little princess so much already.

7 days

Yep. I am writing a post because I am so excited for this coming week. Just to name a few highlights:
1. My Mom and Dad get here tomorrow night.
2. We are going to Ellen on Tuesday with my friend Katie.
3. The Ellen people called Katie to tell her about an optional "event" that will be taking place on Tuesdays show, and if we do it we won't get out of the studio till like 11:00. So duh--we are doing it.
4. Justin Beiber is going to be there the day we go :)
5. I have a doctors appt on Thursday and are *hoping* they tell us what we are having..even though its a few weeks early.
6. I got work off on Friday to hang with my parents.
7. Daniel takes a hard test on Friday then can play with us all weekend.
...I'm sure there will be lots of other fun things too, but as of now--Dr's appt and Beiber top the list. And parents. We love visitors!
Hope everyone has a fantastic week!
