CHRISTmas Break!

Where did the month of December go? Anyone else feel that way? It was a CRAZY month for us but such a great one! It started off pretty crappy when I got a horrible kidney infection, Daniel was on duty for our job (getting called out in the middle of the night to do things like unclog toilets), it was finals week, AND Daniel had drill for the National Guard. All within the same 5 days! Needless to say it was super stressful around our house! I'm so thankful for great friends who took care of Evalyn when I couldn't even get off the couch, brought us meals, and came over at 3 in the morning to sleep on our couch and take care of Ev when I had to go to the E.R. We LOOOVE you Blackburn's and Scott's!!

Once the craziness was over, the fun began. Katie and Cheryl came out to California for 5 days to meet miss Evalyn. It was a trip I have been looking forward to for months and it went by WAY too fast! We went to Santa Monica pier, ate out alot, made cookies and went to my Aunts house for a fun Christmas party on the harbor near Huntington Beach. It was such a fun relaxing weekend.

We got to go to Utah and Idaho over the break. It's so nice that our families are so close that we get to see both of them each year. But at the same time the trips go by so fast because we are so busy traveling from place to place! We had a great 2 weeks away from the city though! We went to Utah for 3 days before going to Idaho for a week, then back to Utah for 5 days.

We had fun dressing up our little babydoll in a dress of my sisters from 1986 :)

Such a daddys girl.

This "bouncer" is from 1974. There is NO way it would pass safety regulations these days! Daniel's mom still had it from her first son who is now 37 years old. So crazy!
But Evalyn loved it! That trampoline spring made it super bouncy! (slash dangerous ;)
Every year the Johnsons eat tamales for Christmas Eve and the kiddos break open a pinata. Needless to say these mustaches were the best find in that paper ball!

Christmas morning..don't we all love those pictures?
 Stocking full of teething toys..score!
The "big gift" was a success. She will sit in this bouncer for an hour straight :)

We had a great time in Idaho! We love the Johnson fam so much and can't wait to see you all again this summer!

In Utah my sister took all the pictures and I have yet to get them. But we had fun celebrating Hattie's 2nd birthday and Kennadys 3rd birthday, going to see the lights at Temple Square, and celebrating Christmas #2.
 The birthday girl!

I can't believe how quickly my family is growing! So much fun!

We love all of you. Christmas was different this year than it has been for what feels like a long time. I am so grateful for making happy new memories and for my sweet lil munchkin! 2012 is going to be a great year :)
