Unbelieveable!

Ahh yes, as many of you have probably heard already, Daniel and I just might be the luckiest people in the world. If you haven't heard/seen, check this out:

I'm sure you are wondering how in the world we got chosen for this, right? Yeah, ME TOO! I'm still wondering. But what I can tell you is that we wrote into the show (well, I wrote into the show) to try and get tickets to Ellen's Mothers Day Show..I might have written like 3 emails within a week. Needless to say the taping for the Mothers Day Show came and went, and I might have been a bit depressed that day not being there (as I'm sure thousands of other Moms-to-be were also). That show aired on Friday the 6th, and the following Tuesday I got a call from the show offering Daniel and I tickets for the following afternoon. At first I didn't think I would be able to go, but I worked it out with my boss and Daniel worked it out with his patients, and we were all set to go! That next morning, I went to work for a few hours in the morning, and the Ellen Show called and asked if Daniel and I wanted a car to come and pick us up since they "had extra money left in their budget" for the season for fans traveling expenses. Umm.. yes! How cool did we feel getting into that shiny black Lincoln? Pretty dang awesome. I would have been happy if that's the only kind of VIP treatment we got! The show also asked me that morning if I wanted to wait to the show to start in an old room behind the studio instead of waiting outside in the blazing heat for 3 hours (you know, since I'm pregnant and all). I thought this was super thoughtful and was more than happy to wait in an air conditioned room and watch old Ellen shows on TV.

That's exactly what we were doing when she popped in and almost gave me a heart attack. I love that lady! I've been watching her for years! The craziest part was hearing her say our names. YOU know MY name? How in the world. So FUN! We have had such overwhelming support and love shown to us by our family and friends and can't thank each of you enough for being happy for us. We feel so blessed/humbled/touched/overwhelmed! I am driving up to Burbank today to pick up some of our goodies and find out all of the car information (basically we go to a dealership and pick out what we want). Oh--first thing I've been asked by 90% of the men that I know--No, we do not have to pay taxes on the car or any of the prizes. They pay for everything. Funny how the women I've talked to have just been giddy and excited, and the men instantly think like businessmen ;) Love it. That was our first concern, but luckily Ellen is so great that she takes care of that for her giveaways.
We still can't believe it. If you thought I was a huge Ellen fan before--you can imagine how much more I love her now! Thanks everyone for your support! We are so blessed.
