6 Months!

My sweet Preslie girl is 6 months old today. I can't tell you how sad this makes me! I feel like this year of 2014 is flying by and theres nothing I can do to slow it down.

At 6 months old she:
-Wears 3-6 and some 0-3 month clothes
-Weighs 13.07 lbs (4%) and is 25.63 inches long
-Doesnt really like baby food
-Still isn't rolling over/sitting up
-Sleeps 12-13 hours a night, with the occasional wake up for a pacifier
-Giggles occasionally but is still a super quiet babe
-Is obsessed with watching Evalyn do anything
-Loves her feet and pacifier and grey blanket
-Isnt a big fan of swimming/being in the heat
-Is typically always happy and rarely cries

Her smile is a bit larger than average :)

25 Years.

I celebrated my 25th birthday yesterday. Growing up I never really liked birthdays--too much attention on little ol me for a whole day. However, now that I am an adult I look forward to them so much more. It was so fun for me to have Evalyn be excited about my birthday this year. As soon as I woke her up in the morning I was sung the birthday song. I think she sang to me at least 6 times that day, and a few times in the days following my actual birthday. She is the best.

I was able to reflect on my life of 25 years a bit this year. I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to say that my life is exactly how I always dreamed it would be at this age. I always wanted to have kiddos at a young age, and spending my days playing with and taking care of them is the best way to spend my time. Of course there are days in there where all I want to do is have some alone time, but a few hours away from my girls and I am already talking about them and wanting to be back home. On my 25th birthday..

-Preslie let me sleep in until 8:00 :)
-Daniel picked up cheesecake factory for dinner/dessert.
-I actually found the time to get myself ready for the day (a true miracle)
-Evalyn was super sweet all day long
-Evalyn and I ate Whataburger for lunch
-Daniel was so nice and bought me a gift I have wanted forever (Clarisonic Ultra), but I took it back to buy things to finish decorating our house. One day. One day.
-My 25th birthday was on friday the 13th, but it seemed to be a pretty lucky day for me.

All day long I honestly kept thinking about how blessed I am. I can not believe I am 25 years old. I wonder if I will ever feel my age. Getting older is just fun now with kids, although I am not a fan of them growing up.

For all who wished me a happy birthday, thank you. I love my friends and family lots and lots :)

5 Months

Remember that one time I had a baby and her life freaking FLEW by?! Sweet P is 5 months old today! 5 MONTHS OLD. I really cant believe it. She is seriously the best baby in the world. I don't know how we got so lucky. At 5 months she:

-jibber jabbers ALL DAY LONG. its the best sound ever and i never want it to stop
-Could roll over if she wants to, gets SO close and is basically on her stomach, but then decides not to care and rolls back to her back. Shes a little lazy and I hope that sticks around. The longer I don't have two mobile kids running around the better.
-Is wearing 0-3 month clothes for the most part. The pants are starting to get a little short though, but weight wise they fit her great.
-Is drinking mostly formula as of this week. And don't ask if weaning from nursing was easy, I'm still sad about it. I never ever thought I would be sad to end that phase, but now I am kicking myself major for doing it.
-Is sleeping through the night, but will wake up a couple times for her pacifier. Goes to bed at 7:15 and wakes up around 7:30-8:00.
-Is made of STONE! That girl will.not.laugh. I've gotten her to giggle ONE time and whenever she wants to laugh she looks like shes gonna explode with energy cause she cant quite figure out how to let it out! Soon it will break, and I cant wait to hear that sweet sound.
-Loves to be swaddled. We let her CIO a few weeks ago without the swaddle, but she naps so much better with it that we decided to let her have it again. Whatever, she will outgrow it eventually.
-Loves her pacifier. Seriously loves it. I hyperventilate if we are out in public and I forget it at home.
-Is so super smiley. And her smile is huge and wide-- I love it so much.
-Blows raspberries with her lips and thinks its the best. Its tough to tell Evalyn to not do that when we encourage Preslie to do it. haha, whoopsie.
-Loves her feet. She found those little gems a few weeks ago and holds them all the time. Cant blame her. I love tiny toes, too.

She is seriously the sweetest thing in the world and I could just squeeze her all day long. We love our Preslie girl. She is such a blessing to our little family. HAPPY 5 MONTH BIRTHDAY LOVEBUG! How on earth will you be a half a year old next month?? Pictures to come soon.

4 Months

Ohhh Preslie babe. We love you so much. Happy 4 month birthday! Thanks for being the easiest baby ever! At 4 months old, you:
-weigh 11 lbs 7 oz
-are 2
-wear size 0-3 month clothes
-size 1 diapers
-love to make eye contact and smile at anyone and everyone! you may be the happiest baby I have ever been around and although you refuse to laugh, you always always have a smile on your sweet little face!
-actually love getting your diaper changed
-adore your big sis
-love to just hang out in your swing, and also love to lay on your playmat--which you just started reaching for all the toys on
-were sleep trained! we let you cry it out after your 4 month checkup, and you learned in 2 nights. you cried the first night for a 2 hours, then again another hour, and by night 2 you woke up once for 20 minutes. now its smooth sailing and everyones happier!
-nurse mostly and also get formula 3x a day since youre so teeny
-we moved to Sugar Land this month! See ya Pearland--onto bigger and better things ;)

we love you so much, but please stop getting bigger cause its breaking my heart a little!

3 months!

3 months old! I cant even believe it. Heres some fun things you've been doing this month Preslie:

-weigh 10.07 lbs
-you still wear newborn clothes
-size 1 diapers
-still love to be swaddled
-you were blessed this month! Daddy gave you the most beautiful blessing. In it he talked alot about how peaceful you are and the sweet spirit that you have, and I couldn't agree more. Youve been such a peaceful baby to have in our home and in our family, and I am so grateful for that. In your blessing circle stood Daniel, Nick Weaver, Jason Hobbs, uncle Eric, and our bishop and counselors. It was a perfect day and we left church after sacrament and came home for breakfast with all of our friends and Grandma and Grandpa Suter! We missed having more family at your blessing, but it was a special day regardless.
-You went on your first "vacation" to Lake Travis! We took a few days during spring break for a little getaway :) We also had to stop at The Bluebell Factory on our way home. You couldnt enjoy the goodness, but it was still fun!
-You experienced your first Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and it was so much fun! Youll appreciate it more next year ;)
-You rolled over once this month but I am pretty sure it was on accident so we wont count it. The longer you wait to do that, the better for this mama.
-You were ordered by your dr to be put on formula 2x a day since you are so teeny. We had to go to weight checks the whole month to make sure you were gaining weight. You are doing great!  Youre just my tiny little lovebug.

Some thoughts

Taking a few minutes to sit down at an actual computer lately seems like an impossible thing to do. So I decided to do a little update via iPhone.

I want to be better about blogging and/or journaling in general. I feel like these special years are flying by and I want to remember them better! I told Daniel the other day that I wish I could film Evalyn for an entire day. Just to have for a memory. I love listening to her talk and sing all day long! It really doesn't get old--except when I'm trying to have a conversation with Daniel or another adult and she's being her usual loud self ;) sometimes I just look at her in amazement that she is so big and so independent now. I love this phase so much. I love that she still thinks I'm so cool--and I'm so glad that won't change for a few years (hopefully ;) she will randomly come up and give am a hug or ask for a kiss and it melts me. She often does it after I get mad and raise my voice at her which makes me feel like garbage. Patience is something I've been praying for because I don't feel like these little babes ever deserve to have someone upset with them. I'm thinking my lack of patience some days stems from sleep deprivation. Hopefully that isn't as issue for the rest of my life. Although some days it seems never ending.

Evalyn is so in love with Preslie and it's the best thing to watch. I'm so happy that she really never went through a major jealousy phase. She loves her sissy and asks for her as soon as she wakes up in the morning. She's always putting a blanket on her and trying to give her her pacifier. I just hope and pray that their relationship is always a strong one. My sister and I always got a lot growing up and I hope they have a great relationship as well.  Sisters are such a blessing!!  So far they're off to a great start so let's hope it continues :)

Big news for us is that we are moving to Sugar Land in a couple months. Boo to moving again but I'm excited for the change. I just haven't fallen in love with Pearland like I hoped I would. I'm excited to be by friends again and not have to drive a half hour to spend time with adults during the day :)  it's a little longer commute for Daniel, but all in all it'll be worth it.

2 Months

Happy 2 months to my Preslie girl! Here are your stats at 2 months old:

-9 lbs 4 oz (5%)

-22 inches (50%)

-You love to smile, eat, watch Evalyn do anything, and get your diaper changed. You are still a super sleepy little lovebug and can only stay awake for about an hour at a time!

-Youre a decent sleeper, waking up once or twice to eat in the middle of the night and usually going right back to sleep.

-You don't really like getting in your car seat, but once you're in there you're happy.

-you were told at your 2 month appointment that you needed to eat more, so you have started drinking formula a few times a day.

-You are seriously the happiest baby!! We love you so much!
